How long does it take to learn Spanish with Spanish in Atlanta?
It DEPENDS but with consistent attendance and practice, most students experience the following timeline:
- 2-4 months — Functional Spanish. You can handle basic daily conversations, understand about 30-65% of what is said, and communicate simple needs at work & in daily life!
- 6-9 months — Conversational confidence. Comfortable in most everyday situations, growing vocabulary, faster response time.
- 12-18+ months — Bilingual fluency. Near-native comprehension, complex grammar, handling professional and social conversations with ease.
Spanish in Atlanta students learn 50% faster than average because of our proprietary multisensory curriculum and small class sizes. Results depend on consistency of attendance and practice outside of class.

Several things set us apart from every other Spanish school or tutoring service:
- Proprietary curriculum — Every ebook, quiz, exercise, and lesson is created from scratch by Profesora Delilah Ortiz. No textbooks. No generic curricula. No cookie-cutter approach.

What type of Spanish do you teach?
We teach Latin American Spanish — the most widely spoken form of Spanish in the United States and the most useful for everyday communication with Spanish speakers across North, Central, and South America.
Latin American Spanish covers Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, and all Spanish-speaking countries in the Americas. It is the most practical choice for most students living in the U.S. who want to connect with Spanish-speaking communities, colleagues, and clients.
We also address regional accents and vocabulary differences so students understand Caribbean Spanish, Argentinian Spanish, and Spanish from Spain when they encounter them.
Do you teach children or only adults?
Spanish in Atlanta specializes in adult Spanish classes and also serves motivated Junior High and High School students who need academic Spanish support. Our teaching style and curriculum are designed to be very easy to follow so both adults and mature teenagers ages 14+ can benefit!
